Quilling

Fourth grade students learned about the colonial craft of quilling.  Quilling is the art of rolling paper.  Quilling was used in Colonial Virginian times to embellish cards, wedding invitations, etc. Students used colored construction paper to create the first letter of their first name or last name.  The inside of the letters are decorated with various quilling shapes.  Check out their hard work below!
