Kente Cloth

Fifth grade students learned African art and Kente Cloth's.  The Kente Cloth is a type of fiber art that is native to the Akan ethic group of South Ghana.  Students learned about the symbolic colors and patterns used to create the cloth.  They used reduction-printmaking techniques to create their own version of a Kente Cloth.
