Kindergarten students looked at the work of Russian painter, Wassily Kandisy and used his work as inspiration for their own. They discussed the different shapes and colors that they saw in his work. After group discussion, students used colored construction paper and oil pastels to create their own "color study." This is a great lesson to tie in other Kindergarten SOL's of shape, color and size!
